A stepping stone to begin an adventure (Al Khobar, Dammam, Medinah, Makkah - Saudi Arabia)

On 2009 was my great year in my life of knowing Arabic world. One of a country which full of curiosity in my mind to know, It is Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) where it was very familiar on my ears since I was a child. a country which had been "big topic" within my social life. As a guy was born in moslem had been taught about how wonderful of life to visit this country and it made me to imagine to visit it someday, somehow.

And here we go !!! I finally have stepped my foot there :)

First visit of Holy city of Makkah, It was Ramadhan (fasting month), Was a great moment in life to see my dream came true to see it in person. I was so excited !

And this was in Madinah city (Nabawi Mosque) where the Prophet Muhammad's grave is. It is a historical city to learn more about Islam. You can find many Moslem Students from different country are studying in this city.

What have been occupied my mind about this country is quite far from the real on my naked eyes. I had thought about how religious, kind and respectful people there. Yet, it made me to realize that we cant stereotype of people from a place they live. Good and bad are exist in everywhere.

I had been there in KSA for more than 3 years, worked in a Resort where is located in Eastern  Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the coast of Persian Gulf, bordered with Bahrain  which is linked by King Fahd Causeway (Bahrain Bridge) and approximately lenght is 25 km (16 miles).

The King Fahd Causeway links Bahrain to the Arabian Peninsula at the Saudi Arabian city of Dammam, and at 16 miles long is one of the world's longest maritime road crossings. It opened in 1986 and may be joined by a similar causeway linking the other side of Bahrain to the state of Qatar, including a high speed railway line eventually intended to run from Kuwait to Muscat.

And here is where I was spending my great time in Arab for about 3 years. Sunset Beach Resort- or as the locals call it “Sunset”- is a world-class resort tucked away in Al-Khobar city. It’s not just another beach resort in the Kingdom, but in fact most of the time you’re there you’ll forget you were on Saudi soil.
